Monaliza Viktoriya, Writer, Director, and Producer, started Monaliza Productions in 2011 with the creative intent of making independent films that empower others and make a change. A former Journalist with a Bachelor’s Degree in Media Studies and Theatre from DePaul University, Monaliza worked at the Sun-Times News Group in Chicago and wrote and managed a series of online magazines before transitioning into Filmmaking. After studying Directing at New York Film Academy in Los Angeles, Monaliza wrote, directed and produced five shorts, and one feature film, CRAVE, in empowerment against sexual abuse in families, based on true events. In the last several years of her career, Monaliza worked in Event and Marketing Management, opening a marketing company, Ascension Agency, in 2018. Currently, she is focusing on her Podcast, The Real Talk, with emphasis on social change empowerment. Monaliza believes in the power of a creative voice and that change always starts within.
